Here's another ponder.  I think one serious lack of understanding that is/has warped American culture is that there is a substantial difference between being Thankful and being Glad.  I can be thankful I have a job, a home, enough to eat.  But it is still true that I do not truly ENJOY any of these.  This can be drawn out to the big issues:  Life, ( Read more... )

Angelique  by Sergeanne Golon - an excellent, high-quality, extremely well-written example of period drama/soap opera/soft-core porn.
